Ocho Rios Family Run
The Northgate Youth and Family Development Foundation (NYFDF) will be hosting our Annual Family Run on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 6:00 a.m.
Our event which is being held under the theme “Mind right, Body right, Mental Health Matters!", will start and end at the Ocean Village Shopping Center, Main Street, Ocho Rios.
Part-proceeds of the run will go towards the Mental Health aspect of Operation Grace in Cambridge as well as the Northgate Education Fund and other NYFDF initiatives.
Registration Fee :
$3,000 per person (13 years and above)
$2,000 children (12 years and under)
$2,700 per person - Group of 10 and more

The Northgate Youth and Family Development Foundation (NYFDF) is an expression of a vision to participate in the process of nation building and development in a constructive and meaningful way. We believe that if successful nation building is to be achieved, there must be a deliberate focus on the strategic development and facilitation of the potential and energies of our young people and also the family structures to which they belong. The NYFDF was incorporated as a charitable organization under the Company Act of Jamaica 2004 on July 2, 2008. Vision Empowering Parents ... Developing Youths… Defining the Future… Mission The NYFDF exists to impact and build young people with strategic initiatives designed to develop sound morals and pristine character. The NYFDF aims to equip and empower youth towards becoming productive citizens and to uncover, activate and deploy their God-given potential. This will be done through careful, strategic development and conducting of systemic impact, programs and projects geared towards assisting family structures and equipping children and youth to realize their full potential in every area and dimension of their lives.
Ocho Rios Family Run
The Northgate Youth and Family Development Foundation (NYFDF) will host The Ocho Rios Family Run – a 5K Run/ Walk event on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 6:00 a.m. The event held under the theme “Mind right, Body right, Mental Health Matters”, will start and end at the Ocean Village Shopping Center, Main Street, Ocho Rios.
This initiative will serve as a platform to promote mental health awareness and encourage overall well-being within the community. Proceeds from the event will be used to provide psychosocial support as a component of Operation GRACE, an outreach designed to support Hurricane Melissa affected community of Cambridge in St. James. Additionally, the funds will contribute to the Northgate Education Fund, which was developed to assist in the educational and personal developmental processes of economically disadvantaged children and young leaders seeking to attend NorthGate High School.
