Kiwanis Club of Montego Bay's Zoom Movie Night

The Kiwanis Club of Montego Bay brings you our Virtual Movie Night fundraiser on JULY 3, 2021 at 6pm. Jamaican award-winning film, Sweet Rind, will be screened followed by a Q&A with the cast and crew, which includes Kadeem Wilson who stars in Sprinter (now on Netflix). Cost is $500 Jamaican dollars.

"Sweet Rind tells the story of a tactically elite pastor’s daughter who struggles with forgiving her sister’s killer while delivering her brand of justice in her father’s unfinished church basement in Kingston, Jamaica."

The captivating tale has been picked up by 49 film festivals in 23 countries across 6 continents so far, including the Toronto International Black Film Festival. More stunningly, the film sits atop a staggering 53 award nominations, walking away with 16 wins and 4 honourable mentions with the most recent being the Audience Choice Award in a New York-based film festival.

The short film is now being courted by distributors and investors for the expanded version of the story, which will head into production later this year.
