JIE Development Forum 2026
The JIE Development Forum 2026 aims to provide coordinated, engineering-driven recommendations on housing resilience, infrastructure systems, and land governance in the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa.
The forum will also bring together stakeholders to share perspectives, explore ideas and possible improvements and reinforce the role of government and professionals in shaping national rebuilding and resilience strategies. The Forum includes the following:
• May 14, 2026, Day 1, Session 1 - Housing and Building Code: Assess the building code performance and explore resilient and affordable housing solutions.
• May 14, 2026, Day 1, Session 2 - Public Sector Infrastructure: Evaluate resilience of public sector facilities and identify improvements for continuity.
• May 28, 2026, Day 2, Session 1 - Infrastructure: Assess utility sector performance and explore potential investments for improving resilience
• May 28, 2026, Day 2, Session 2 - Land Tenure and Development Governance: Examine land tenure projects and identify governance reforms for resilient development.
