Share this pageHear the Children's Cry, established in 2002, is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) dedicated to supporting Jamaican children and their families facing severe social and economic challenges. Through programs in education, parenting, social work, child safety, counselling, food distribution, and advocacy for children's rights, we strive to create a safer and brighter future.
As our late founder, Betty Ann Blaine always said “If you fix the family you fix Jamaica”.
As a charity, we are deeply reliant on the generosity of our well-wishers and supporters who believe in our mission. Your donations are the cornerstone of our work, enabling us to continue serving those in need and keeping our doors open.
Your donation will support critical programs, including:
---Counselling Services: Providing professional support to children who have run away, experienced abuse or trauma, or struggle with behavioural issues.
---Back-to-School Assistance: Offering financial aid for lunch money, school supplies, and transportation fees to help children in need stay in school.
---School Outreach: Conducting preventative visits to schools to educate children about the dangers of running away, guiding them toward healthier coping strategies.
---Parental Support: Attending PTA meetings to offer parents guidance on recognizing signs of distress in their children and equipping them with tools to provide effective support.
---Missing Children Support: Collaborating with child welfare partners and security forces to track, analyze, and publish data on missing children, while advocating for their safety and return.
