Sour Grapes

Sour Grapes is a sweet and delicious story about how Ruth leaves her "country-bunking" life behind, to galavant in the riches of her marriage. When he husband dies, however, it leaves her bitter and angry at God. Ruth feels compelled to force her son to live up to her ideals of fame and fortune, instead of pursuing what he believes to be his God-given purpose. We learn that the sour attitude to life and everything Godly is also rooted in the rejection and hurt she experienced at the hands of her father as a young adult.
