SHAREE Elise Bio Sharee Elise is a multi faceted Creative Spirit who explores all aspects of the Arts from Acting and Singing to painting. Born in Falmouth Trelawny in Jamaica Sharee grew up humbly with her aunts and grandfather. Music was always a part of her household with the radio always beating in the background. Her grandfather dubbed her “his superstar” after hearing her belt out a Dionne Warwick song one morning using her hairbrush as a microphone. At age 5, she started performing to larger audiences in her small town as a member of a local dance group. Her first singing solo “old woman” while in infant school, led to her TV debut on 'Ring Ding' hosted by the beloved Ms. Lou. "The Performing and creative Arts is in my DNA " Sharee loves to say, as both her parents were actively involved in the arts, her mother a Teacher/Dancer & choir director and her father Entertainment coordinator and Artist (painter). In her late teens she became a member of the world renowned Ashe Performing Arts Company where she nurtured her raw talent under the tutelage of the late Joseph Robinson and Paulette Bellamy OD, Ftcl, Lrsm. Sharee blossomed into a disciplined and dedicated artiste trained in Singing, Dancing and Theatre Arts while touring countries from the Caribbean to Asia playing major roles in the Company’s internationally acclaimed musical productions. During her Ashe experience she got a taste of the "big stage " when they performed at Lincoln Center on Broadway and at the Apollo Theater in Harlem further fuelling her passion for the Performing Arts. She made her transition into acting in 2004 when she began working with Jambiz International after a brief stint in the Jamaican Soap Opera Royal Palm Estate. She has had the privilege of working with some of Jamaica’s Theatre ‘Elite’ like Oliver Samuels, Glen Campbell and Dahlia Harris as she continued to hone her craft under the watchful eyes of Trevor Nairne and Patrick Brown. This led to many Actor boy nominations for her outstanding roles in numerous Jambiz plays… most recently for her lead role in Right Girl Wrong Address. Singing however is her first love and after doing live background vocals for several artistes including Coco T, Bugle, Daville and Konchenz and recording harmonies on tracks for Maxi Priest, Busy Signal and Dexta daps, Sharee wrote and recorded a few of her own reggae/dancehall singles. Her dream is to tour the world with her own band and looks forward to that happening in the near future. “God’s Timing is Perfect...Believe, have Faith and Stay the course” is her Mantra as she is ready to take on this new career path with focus, drive and great positive energy.
